My Journey - After being in the corporate world of telecoms and technology for a number of years, inspired by my wife, I began to explore my creative passions.

In a world increasingly obsessed with speed, mass production and the throwaway, I choose to be at the other end of the spectrum. Combining the traditional techniques of woodturning and hand carving with modern design, I produce a range of unique pieces both large and small - everything from sculpture to furniture and household items.

Unlike normal commercial products, every creation is handmade from solid wood. This means every piece, with its unique grain, has a direct visual connection with the tree from which it came. I primarily work with British hardwoods, sourced locally and sustainably, in Surrey.

I incorporate the clean lines of Scandinavian design, to create beautiful pieces, with a fresh and contemporary feel. Every curve is shaped by hand to make unique products that will last a lifetime and beyond.
 

Launching Westview Wood gives me an opportunity to offer my current works for sale and take on new commissions. I hope you love and enjoy these pieces as much in their use as I have in their creation.
